K.C. was a special dog; robust, easily excited, stubborn, sweet, vocal, quirky, lovable dog, who added so much spice to our life! We will remember the big smile on his face when he got to hike or take a walk, his expressive eyebrows (so human-like), his howling along to any song with a harmonica or sirens, barking at the shadows, swimming and swimming and swimming while barking of course, chewing sticks, his love of carrots, his barking greetings to friends and family at the door, the joy of digging in the snow, and jumping up to catch snowballs in his mouth. He was amazing with our boys, we have pictures of him “guarding” Gavin, and he was so gentle with them. He was a real trooper, moving with us six times and living with Grandma and Grandpa for a couple of years. He loved hiking with us, he would run the trail 5 times to our one, and he summited many 14ers with us. He was our first kiddo, and boy, did we learn a lot from him. He will be forever in our hearts.
